Long weekend!

My first long weekend in what seemed like an eternity. Been savouring delicious food for the past three nights. Chicken mushroom soup served Hong Kong style at East Coast Road was unforgettable. So was the Milo-Dinosaur at Bedok Food Centre. And of course, how can I leave out the tasty homemade potstickers?

Sunset at Changi Boardwalk was not what I had expected, but it was still beautiful. Although the sky was overcast, I could still vaguely descry the setting sun among the clouds. Paid a visit to Budget Terminal as well. Significant difference between the Budget Terminal and the rest of the Changi Airport. In terms of size, it is much smaller. It is also rather bare and spartan on the inside. You have the funny feeling that something is amiss when the main attractions at the arrival hall are actually the vending machines.

The World Today in History
On April 15, 1912, the British luxury liner Titanic sank in the North Atlantic off Newfoundland, less than three hours after striking an iceberg. About 1,500 people died.

Lethargy

Wake Me Up When September Ends
-- Green Day

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my fathers come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are

As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are

As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father's come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends

Where is the self-discipline?

In terms of tasks done for my job, this weekend is the most unproductive to date. Unable to complete my book review, boots left unpolished, packing of my bag left till the last minute. Ineffectiveness has made me lose my temper with myself. The trademark discipline and patience are replaced by sloth and irritation.

O Lord, please grant me the wisdom to manage my time and my tasks well. Please guide me back from the dark abyss that I have fallen into and back into the light. Most importantly, grant me the time each day to spend time reading and pondering over Your words, so that I may better myself and act in ways which are pleasing to You.
