And they lived happily ever after

Received my first "red bomb" a few weeks ago from my "buddy" Marilyn. Attended her wedding dinner on Wednesday night at the Fullerton hotel. It was a grand affair and I thought I could do some networking that night. In the end, I only managed to "re-network" with Weilong, whom I have not seen in half a year.

Got to know that he blogs too and I have added the link to his blog on this page. Got to know from him that many of our ex-classmates are now in the teaching profession. Weilong himself is a Chinese teacher and so is Marilyn. That explains why all the guests at my table are all teachers (all of them are Marilyn's classmates in NIE). In fact, I believed that half the guests that night are teachers. It was indeed an honour to be surrounded by the intelligentsia of Singapore, and I realized I had to speak carefully lest I exposed my intellectual inadequacies in front of them and make a fool of myself.

I guess as my generation transits into young working adults, more of my friends will be engaging in this red artillery bombardment. Marilyn's wedding is merely a harbinger of things to come.
