Back from the wilderness

Warning: the following description of my current situation is redolent of another post written about a year ago.

Man, it sure feels good to hold a paddle in my hands again! After nine months of self-imposed exile, I decided to go for dragonboat training today. I do hope my shift pattern can accommodate future trainings. My team, if I may be so bold to address them as that, considering I only joined them for training today, has decided not to take part in the SAVA sprints. Will only be focusing on the Regatta at the end of the year.

On the other hand, I have not attended the alumni training this season yet. I just cannot seem to find the time to do so. I seldom am off-duty on Sundays and even if I am working on Sunday afternoons, I will only be able to train for an hour with the alumni team. I am also facing the issue of having dual loyalties.

May God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can't change, courage to change things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
